Ad:Tech NYC 2009 Recap

Ad:Tech NY is one of NetHosting's favorite shows of the year.

Ad:Tech NY is one of NetHosting’s favorite shows of the year because not only does it give us the chance to hang out and meet face to face with a lot of our clients and partners, but it also allows us to hang out with a lot of our great customers that we have worked with for years!

We were able to meet with a lot of great people while having some fun!  Here are a couple of our highlights

Domain Industry Sponsored Workshop: Domain Tips to Drive Your Business Forward and Save MoneyThe Domain Industry Workshop is sponsored by Sedo.com, Media.net, Name Administration, Inc., and NameMedia, Inc.
Chances are your company already owns one domain name. Maybe more. But did you know that a proper domain strategy can help drive leads to your front door and improve search engine placement while saving you money on sponsored results? More than 67% of global Internet users arrive at web sites through Direct Domain Navigation. That’s just one of the many reasons why Calvin Klein owns bras.com and underwear.com, Johnson & Johnson owns baby.com, Crest owns toothpaste.com, Diageo owns rum.com and Barnes & Noble owns books.com.

Attend this workshop to learn:

  • Domain name tips for maximizing SEO and SEM benefits while reducing costs
  • How to instantly form credibility with consumers and establish your company as the definitive source in your industry with vertical defining domain names
  • Tips for bringing valuable sales leads to your front door without any marketing or brand awareness. The panel’s collection of experts from the domain name industry will be sharing their tricks and tips for developing a domain strategy that promises to help your company grow while keeping marketing expenses down.
15 Ways to Grow Your Audience
What is it about some sites and blogs that attracts more traffic than others? How can all sites across the long tail attract more eyeballs, increase stickiness and drive long-term customer engagement? How can smaller and medium-sized sites, in particular, break through the infinite clutter and noise of all digital media to reach and grow new audiences? ad:tech welcomes Rebecca Weeks Watson from Real Girls Media and expert panelists from Metacafe, Waterfront Media and Mashable.com to discuss and share with you how to increase exposure and audience through 15 simple approaches including content, layout, social media, syndication, community and more.
SMX@ad:tech: Search Engine Optimization Tactics
SearchEngineLand.com Executive Editor Chris Sherman leads a panel of SEO experts as they look at the current and emerging best practices and optimization trends and developments across current and emerging search media and technology platforms. This panel brings together several different points of view on how best to accomplish SEO with a common goal of providing attendees with sound advice and best practices.
The Science of Targeting: Turning Data into Scalable, Actionable Insights
Targeting has evolved from a lowest common denominator approach (W 18-54) to one that is informed, in real-time, by demographic and psychographic data, consumer behavior and contextual relevancy. ad:tech is pleased to welcome back Matt Spiegel, CEO, Digital at Omnicom Media Group, to lead a high-caliber panel that will look at practical, high-impact innovations that leverage raw data to generate actionable, strategic insights about customers and prospects in the media planning, buying and optimization process. Will this new approach to defining and delivering audiences bring the scale and uniformity needed for brand marketers to finally shift budgets online at scale, or will solutions complicate an already confused marketplace? And how do different approaches to data-driven targeting align with consumer privacy expectations and best-practices? Join leading media and consumer insights professionals from Omnicom, Facebook, Quantcast, Yahoo! and Google for a deep-dive tutorial into the new science of targeting.
