Two apps unite to create the quintessential busy-body experience. The recent partnership between Foursquare and Groupon will allow deal-conscious globe-trotters the luxury of cashing in where they check-in, giving them the power to scope out deals wherever their feet take them, all on their mobile phones.

The Groupon app, called Groupon Now, is designed for the spontaneous deal-grabber, granting instant redemptions as opposed to the regular model practiced by the Foursquare apps for LivingSocial, Gilt City, zozi, BuyWithMe, and AT&T, which postpones the ability to redeem a deal until after all the deals for that day have been sold.

It’s a good edge for Groupon to have at the moment, with daily deals clones surfacing like something out of a Terminator movie. After all, there is, and should always be, only one Arnold, right?

According to the TechCrunch article that reported on the partnership, the reason Groupon Now is only just coming to Foursquare is because of conflict over API and platforms. But now that that’s been resolved, users all over can chase deals to their heart’s content.
