It’s sort of like happy hour, sort of in compliance with our Wellness Program, and completely refreshing, not to mention sober. Combining (and pureeing) what we know about frozen fruit, Powerade, ice cream, yogurt, dehydrated berries, and protein mix, the NetHosting Team has officially embarked on a mission to concoct the most palatable medley of unlikely mix-ins known to, well, the four of us.
In general, we’re all smoothie novices and perhaps some of our ideas will not be unheard of, but as we continue, we’ll explore more uncharted territory, keeping in mind our goal is a good-tasting smoothie that is moderately nutritious and can be safely ingested by the human stomach. Our pledge is to be unique and to faithfully document our findings on this blog, starting with our most recent discoveries.
(1) Your Run O’ the Mill Smoothie
Pomegranate juice cocktail
Frozen strawberries
Strawberry yogurt
Verdict: tastalicious
(2) Impromptu Blueberry
Frozen strawberries
Vanilla flavored brown rice protein
Dehydrated blueberries
Vanilla yogurt
Cranberry/raspberry juice
Conclusion: Slight grainy aftertaste from protein, but the bits of blueberry were a chewy surprise.
(3) Powerade Sherbet
Lemon-lime Powerade
Fresh Kiwis
Frozen strawberries
Vanilla ice cream
Result: Not too shabby. Tasted like sherbet.
