NetHosting Looks at Zynga History and Systems in New Case Study

by Andy Chapman

A new case study just released by NetHosting explores the history and hosting infrastructure of social gaming giant Zynga.

Orem, UT NetHosting, a leading provider of Cloud, Dedicated, VPS, and Virtual Hosting services has released a new case study analyzing the online games developer Zynga.

Founded in 2007 by Marc Pincus, Zynga took the stage as a rapidly growing social games developer for the Facebook platform. Fueled by the social networking goliath, Zynga has attracted over 270 million monthly users and has recently filed a $1 billion IPO.

Zynga is famous for creating a vast repertoire of online games, such as Mafia Wars, FarmVille, and the recent CastleVille, which rely on the interaction of friends over the Facebook platform. In its newly released case study, NetHosting goes behind the scenes of the Zynga gaming empire, explaining how it came to be and how cloud hosting was the engine that carried Zynga to its current success.

“With Zynga pushing to go public, we’ve taken a close look at what has made it such an integral part of today's social gaming scene and published what we’ve found in a new case study,” explained Lane Livingston, CEO of NetHosting. “It’s interesting to see how Zynga’s tremendous success serves as an outstanding example of how a company can benefit using cloud hosting as a solution to expansion.”

Along with the Zynga case study, NetHosting has published additional case studies on some of the Internet’s most popular websites, including Pandora, Amazon, Dropbox, and many more.
