Orem, UT NetHosting, a Cloud, Dedicated, VPS, and Virtual Hosting service provider since 1994, released a case study this week about the popular social news site, Reddit.

Reddit began in 2005 when two recent graduates of the University of Virginia (Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian) created a website that would allow users to submit and vote on links to social news content. The fresh-off-the-press case study examines the features available to users, including the ability to view specifically categorized content, pay for an ad-less version of the site, and make comments through a comment and messaging system, as well as Reddit’s hosting system and infrastructure.

In the website’s beginnings, Reddit received $100,000 from angel investors, was acquired for a short time by Condé Nast Publications, and has now become the most visited social news site on the Internet.
