Every type of product we offer has special rapid deployment options to get you up and going in 10 minutes or less. Some of our products are custom configured, deployed and ready for you before you can finish reading the "You're Finished" page on our checkout page. 

What can I do with a Dedicated Server?

The short answer is anything you want.

The long answer is, anything you want without violating our acceptable use policy. It is your responsibility to use the server however you want.  You can install software, run services, whatever you'd like.  

What if I exceed my bandwidth amount?

Any bandwidth overage is only $1 per GB. If you anticipate a sudden increase in your bandwidth, we recommend upgrading to a larger plan to prevent the additional bandwidth charge on your monthly bill.  Additionally, consider things such as mod_deflate, an apache module that compresses data before transmission in order to reduce bandwidth, to serve content more efficiently.

Why would I need a dedicated server?

Dedicated hosting offers all of the benefits of owning your own server without the hassle of dealing with the hardware.  Clients needing to run a high availability website or custom software benefit from a dedicated server. Dedicated servers allow you to run any custom software to configure as you need. This is your box and you can do whatever you need to do with it.  As long as you follow our acceptable use policy, there are no real limits as to what you can do.
